Lady drives completely wrong way on Thruway, deliberately crashing head-on into truck, police say

Whitestown, N.Y. — A 40-12 months-old lady took a U-turn on the Thruway close to Utica in get to travel against targeted traffic and deliberately crash into a truck, troopers reported.

All-around 8:30 p.m. Monday, the girl from Cazenovia was driving west on the Thruway in her 2011 Toyota Sienna in Whitestown, according to a information launch from State Law enforcement.

The female took a U-turn in the center of the westbound lanes and began driving in the wrong path, troopers claimed.

Though touring east in the westbound lanes, the woman deliberately drove her minivan head-on into a 2015 Freightliner box truck, troopers reported.

The driver of the box truck, Ugur Baran, was unable to keep away from the crash, they stated. The 41-year-old guy was not injured.

After the incident, the lady obtained out of her vehicle and climbed over the safety barrier of the Thruway overpass previously mentioned Major Road in Whitestown, troopers reported.

Troopers were at some point ready to place her in custody, they said. She was brought to St. Elizabeth’s Healthcare facility due to minimal accidents sustained in the crash.
