Tasca grows in Florida
Tasca Automotive Team of Cranston, R.I., expanded its existence in Florida when it acquired two Buick-GMC outlets.
Tasca on Oct. 18 acquired Dick Norris Buick-GMC Clearwater and Dick Norris Buick-GMC Palm Harbor — the two in the Tampa region — from Dick Norris and Doug Norris.
The merchants were renamed Tasca Buick-GMC Clearwater and Tasca Buick-GMC Palm Harbor.
“These dealerships are a excellent enhance to our present Buick and GMC franchises in Florida,” Carl Tasca Jr. of Tasca Automotive Group explained in a statement. “We welcome the teams to the Tasca family members and look forward to serving their faithful clients with integrity and honesty.”
The Tasca team has a Buick-GMC dealership in Melbourne, Fla., southeast of Orlando. The loved ones-owned team, launched in 1943 by Bob Tasca Sr., also has dealerships in Illinois, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, according to its site.
The Norris family, which had been marketing autos in Florida considering that the late 1980s, opted to promote the dealerships to target on other business enterprise interests, which includes continuing to work a boat business and vehicle wash, in accordance to a news launch from Presidio Group.
